(New York, NY). May 15, 2008 These days, more and more moms and dads are plugging in and logging on seeking to connect online about family and child-related matters. Now, two young fathers, Greg Byrnes and Craig Handleman, founders of Parent Media Group, Inc., have launched ParentSociety.com (www.parentsociety.com), the go-to site for all things parent related. Already a million members strong and monetizing, Greg and Craig never imagined that becoming fathers would lead to their second round of success as webtraneurs. Combining their own new parenthood realities with their business acumen, the partners founded Parent Media Group, Inc. to develop content-rich and e-commerce based websites focused on the growing parent and family online markets. The new, young parent media company has already attracted major brands such as Gerber, Scholastic, Sears Portrait Studio and The Publishing Group of America, who are eager to reach the growing parent online marketplace. ParentSociety.com is the place to discover all things parent related. A user will not only find forums to learn, chat and share information on health, food, relationships and being a good parent, but also featured articles, recipes, celebrity parent news, gossip, topical news relating to parents, child care information, daily parenting tips, kids activities, games, videos and photos. "Connecting every parent to a community and a comprehensive network of information for and from parents like them is the goal of this site", says Craig Handleman. The two friends' first round of online success came when they developed and sold one of the world's first internet search marketing firms, Sendtraffic, Inc in 2004. From Craig's apartment, the two turned SendTraffic into a multi million-dollar cutting edge online marketing company and they aim to do the same as as publishers in the young family marketplace. 2004 was the same year that Greg and Craig both became first time fathers. Along with parenthood came their vision for an online parent and family website not just for moms, but for dads too. "I was changing diapers, not getting enough sleep and trying not to stress out on my wife," explains founder Greg Byrnes. "It was tough, to say the least. I would go online to seek advice and didn't find much help. I thought, maybe we could create this place for both moms and dads together." Their first family oriented website and sister site to ParentSociety.com, TheCuteKid.com, was launched 2004. TheCuteKid.com is now the largest online child photo contest in the world with over a million members. The premise of TheCuteKid was to invite parents to share photos and enter their kids into the monthly CuteKid contests. Simultaneously, Greg and Craig worked to build brand relationships including deals with Parenting magazine, Gerber Life, Scholastic and other major young family advertisers. Within a few short months, the site was making money and growing exponentially with new members, contest entries and brand relationships. TheCuteKid.com, beyond being the world's largest online baby and child photo contest, also has a catalogue of over 2 million CuteKid photos, a million plus members and a growing revenue stream. Greg and Craig quickly realized the need for a larger comprehensive online parent community as they witnessed hundreds of thousands of moms and dads flocking to TheCuteKid.com site, not only uploading and sharing photos of their own children, but also seeking a forum to share their thoughts, fears and interests. As The CuteKid™ quickly developed into a community of parents a million strong, Greg and Craig realized they had tapped into something that they also had been searching for; a safe place for parents to connect about being parents. Thus, ParentSociety.com came to life. Craig, father of two young children, with a third on the way, even personally blogs on the site: http://blogs.parentsociety.com/author/craig "It is a fortunate opportunity to be able to earn your living building a community and business revolving around the most cherished thing in your life...children. Products, services, information and even entertainment have a different glow when you look at them through the eyes of a parent. We're building for those eyes." Greg Byrnes, ParentSociety.com.
