Hello CuteKid™ Members…I thought I would give suggestions on what I look for and what I don't care to see.
What I Don't Like to see:
I do not like "nudes, bathtub or potty" shots.
Sleeping infants are precious but I need to see some personality in the picture.
Be very careful when it comes to hats, costumes and lots of backgrounds! Again these things are distracting and keep me from focusing on the "star".
What I do Like to see:
I like to see one child only in a picture - no moms, dads, siblings or pets. They can be distracting and I do not pay enough attention to the "star" of the picture.
I like close up and smiling shots! Clothes should be simple and no black, white or busy prints or patterns.
The eyes of the child are the most important and I look for the special twinkle so I need to see the eyes; not the entire outfit or the trees or the costume. The face is the most important.
I look for photos that tell me this child is special. It is all about personality (from my standpoint) and I need to see that. Please no crying shots! That is not the personality I am looking for.
Remember - the picture must grab our attention so that
we click on it and enlarge it and it gets noticed! So here let me say
that at times I have been disappointed how small some photos are.
Do not use wallet photos unless you enlarge them.
So here is what I look for:
A clear and in focus headshot of the child
Color is important and the picture should almost jumpoff the page to catch my attention
No excessive toys, pets, other people, props, hats or anything that distracts me from the face.
I like to see smiles and child laughing but a great surprise look or other comical look also works.
I Hope this helps those parents who might want to submit their child to agents/managers for representation and increase their chance of winning the CuteKid™ Contest.
