Dr. Henry Walton Jones, Jr. better known as Indiana Jones or Indy is synonymous with globe-trotting adventure. Indiana Jones made his debut in 1981 in a film called Raiders of the Lost Ark. This was followed by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984. In 1989, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade continued to draw box-office hits. From 1992 to 1996 George Lucas produced a television series called The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. In 2008 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released. The character of Indiana Jones became so popular that it was featured in novels, comic books, video games and is also a favorite attraction at theme parks around the world. Indiana Jones costumes are popular choices for Halloween.
