Halloween Games for Kids

Halloween Party can turnout to be scary affair if kids are not kept engaged through the entire event. In my experience Halloween games for kids can one-of-the-most entertaining bailout to keep the little monsters at bay.

Find below a list of my favorite Halloween games for kids:

1. Make a Ghost Story
Its one of the most popular games since decades. However, I have made some innovations to make it feel different:

Preparation:
a. Flash Light.
b. Music player and a Halloween music record.

How to Play?
Ask kids to sit in a circle. You need to sit in between two kids that you think are most creative.

Lit the flash light in a way that it lightens a portion of your face.

Start telling a horror story – with horrific diction. At a point, give the flash light to the one sitting to your left.

Play Halloween music in the background.

At the end, the kid telling the most innovative and scary turning point in the story gets the prize.

2. Halloween Hide-and-Sic
Preparation:
a. Flash Lights.
b. Skin friendly Red color pen.

Ask all the players to write there name on a piece of paper. Pick one chit and person named in the Chit will act as a Zombie.

Ask all kids to go in different rooms and hide till the Zombie counts 20. (Hold the Zombie so that it does not run away.)

Switch off the lights and ask the Zombie to search other players using a Flash light. When a player is caught, Zombie will paint the face in Red. Set a time limit for Zombie to search other players.

The player(s) which does not get caught is the winner and gets a chance to paint Zombie’s face Red.

3. Monster Dance
A classic way to end a Halloween party.

Play a Halloween music and asked the kids to dance – Monster style. Stop the music abruptly and player still dancing is shunted out of the game. The last player standing is the winner.
