Baby Modeling Advice

Famous baby models have a special place in our hearts. Famous and well-known child artists have been used in movies, modeling and for advertising over the centuries.
Modeling is a very lucrative and glamorous profession associated with quick fame and riches. If your little one seems to be a natural performer, baby modeling can give him or her a head start in the talent industry and besides fame and riches; it could be a fun learning experience for your kid.
When we talk about baby modeling, the first thing that comes to the mind is baby modeling advice. First and foremost, does your baby really need an agent? The answer to this question is a Yes! An agent will help you find work.
A really good modeling agent knows the business well. They have good contacts in the industry that help them learn about modeling gigs and how to maintain strong relationships with ad agencies who might give them inside information. They will help you get open and closed interviews and will give you honest feedback.
Another important piece of advice is that agents should have enough clients to warrant being in business but not so many that they don’t have enough time to really work for your baby. They also should not have too many of the same ‘type’ of baby. If they have twenty babies that are ten months old with brown hair and green eyes, how often do you think will each of those babies get called for a go-see?
Another important baby modeling tip is that it is just not the “looks” that the agents are really looking for. All the agents we spoke with were concerned about separation anxiety and then, looks and energy. So, what kind of “looks” are the casting agents really looking out for? What is “beauty” for these agents?
In the past, it was Gerber babies or Ivory babies that were in demand — the ‘central casting’ variety — blond hair, blue eyed. In recent times, the market has opened up plenty. Today the agents look for every flavor such as Benetton Babies, i.e., short hair girls with glasses, Asian kids with flaming red hair, or white boys with dread locks. Big ears or big eyes can be cute. Perhaps more important than your baby’s looks is that alertness and energy coming from the eyes. They want children who animate and have joy — an inner brightness.
Baby Modeling Advice/Tips- Here are some tips that can help you get through a day in the life of a parent with a baby model. This baby modeling advice will help you as you try to get in to the business.
1. Grow a thick skin. Although you may be thinking and also be quite sure that your baby is a perfect picture for a specific role, the agent may not agree to the same. Some open calls have hundreds and hundreds of babies audition going on for a single role.
2. Do not criticize another parent especially if someone else’s baby has won a role that you really wanted for your own baby.
3. Use your agent to your maximum advantage. Do not blame them if your baby doesn’t become the next baby model. Realize it is a bit of a gamble and not everyone hits the big time.
