Kristen Stewart is an American film and television actress. Kristen began her career right from the age of eight. An agent had seen her perform in her elementary school’s Christmas play. Subsequently, she began to appear on films playing role of a daughter. She has worked in movies “The Safety of Objects”, “Panic Room”, “Zathura”, “In The Land Of women”, “Adventureland”, “Into The wild”, “The Messenger” and “Twilight”. Kristen Stewart became famous by the roles in the above mentioned movies.

Kristen Jaymes Stewart was born on 9^th April, 1990 in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are John Stewart and Jules Mann-Stewart. Kristen’s father is a state manager and a television producer who has worked for Fox. Kristen’s mother is a script supervisor originally from Queensland, Australia. She was raised in Colorado and later in 2006 moved back to Los Angeles. She attended school till seventh grade and later continued her education by correspondence. Kristen also has an older brother, Cameron Stewart.

Kristen Stewart currently lives in Woodland Hills in Los Angeles, California with her parents. Kristin Stewart has been in a relationship with actor Michael Angarano for two years. Kristen shares her birthday, April 9, with actors Frank Miranda, and Dennis Quaid who played her father in Cold Creek Manor (2003).

Apart from acting, Kristen wishes to go to Sydney University, Australia to attend college in near future to study literature. She is a guitar player and a singer too. She is also the supporter and member of the Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet.

Kristen Stewart’s Career

Panic room (2002) was a huge success. She had replaced Hayden Panettiere in this movie. Stewart was then casted in another thriller, Cold Greek Manor which failed at the box office. In the year 2005, Kristen appeared in the fantasy adventure film Zathura where she played the role of Lisa. This movie too by praised and appreciated by the critics. In the following year, she got to play the lead role of Jess Solomon in the supernatural thriller movie The Messengers.

Later in the year 2007, she started playing roles of a teenager. She played Lucy Hardwicke in In the Land of Women which was a romantic drama casting Meg Ryan and The O.C. star Adam Brody. On November 16, 2007, Summit Entertainment announced that Kristen Stewart would play Isabella “Bella” Swan in the movie Twilight, based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling vampire romance novel of the same name. Stewart was on the set of Adventure land when director Catherine Hardwicke visited her for an informal screen test which “captivated” the director. She was starred alongside Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen, her character’s vampire boyfriend. The film began production in February 2008 and finished filming in May 2008. Twilight was released domestically on November 21, 2008. After the release of Twilight, Kristen Stewart was awarded the MTV Movie Award for Best Female Performance for her portrayal as Bella Swan. Stewart will be reprising her role as Bella in the sequel, New Moon, in 2009.
