Demi Lovato is an American actress, singer and a song-writer. Demi is a skilled pianist and guitar player as well. Demi Lovato is also a solo music artist. She released her first debut music album “Don’t Forget” on 23^rd September, 2008 whereas her second music album “Here We Go Again” was released on 21^st July, 2009.

Demi Lovato is popularly known for her following roles:
a. Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock.
b. Sonny Monroe in Sonny With A Chance.

Demetria Devonne Lovato famous as Demi Lovato was born on 20^th August, 1992. She was born in Dallas, Texas to Patrick and Diana Lovato. She has an older sister, Dallas, and a younger half sister, Madison De La Garza. Demi Lovato’s mother was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader and country recording artist. Her father moved to New Mexico after their marriage ended in the year 1994.

Demi Lovato’s stepfather’s name is Eddie DeLaGarza. Her older sister Dallas, also an actress and a singer is five years older than Demi whereas Madison is ten years younger to Demi. Demi’s dad suffers from health problems and rarely sees Demi. The Father surprised his daughter and saw her for the first time in four years in February 2008.

Demi had mentioned in an interview that she had bad and painful experiences getting bullied in the school in her seventh grade. The bullying got so serious and distressed, that she asked her mother to give her home education. Later, Demi Lovato was home-schooled. At the age of six, Demi Lovato first started her acting career in the children’s television series Barney and Friends. She originally wanted to go in music career, but since she got a chance, Demi wanted to give it a try.

Demi Lovato is fond of shopping. She gets most of her clothes from Forever 21 and most of her shoes from Aldo. She also has a purity ring like Selena Gomez and The Jonas Brothers but Demi wears it as a necklace.

Demi Lovato was in a relationship with Metro Station singer Trace which ended on 22^nd July, 2009. In 2006, she began to receive roles in episodes for series such as Prison Break, Split Ends and Just Jordan.  In 2007, she received her first regular role in the shorts on Disney Channel for As the Bell Rings playing Charlotte. Her musical theater roles include leads in: The Wizard of Oz, Sleeping Beauty and There’s Always Tomorrow.

In 2008, Demi Lovato starred in the Disney Channel film, Camp Rock. She played Mitchie Torres, a fourteen-year-old girl with hopes of becoming a singer. The movie premiered on June 20, 2008 in the USA on Disney Channel. She recorded three songs for the Camp Rock soundtrack.

Currently, Demi Lovato is starring in the Disney Channel Original Series, Sonny With a Chance, which premiered on February 8, 2009. She stars in Princess Protection Program as Princess Rosalinda alongside her best friend Selena Gomez. The movie premiered on June 26, 2009, on Disney Channel.
