You may be excitedly planning on entering your child into the Regis and Kelly Baby Contest 2010, in the hopes of winning such exciting prizes as having your baby’s face on the cover of Parenting Magazine, among others. Another one of the prizes is the ability to fly out to appear on the set of Regis and Kelly Live. One thing you may be wondering, if this isn’t a television program that you watch frequently, is who exactly are Regis and Kelly? Both are long term veterans of television, and have now teamed up for one of the top-rated morning programs.

Regis Philbin is one of the most famous faces and voices in American broadcasting, and has been for decades, even setting a Guinness World Record in 2009 for most hours on camera. He made his television debut over forty years ago and since then has hosted game shows, talk shows, and other types of programming. An Emmy-winning icon, he has become most well-known for his work on the “Live with Regis” program as well as the hit game show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire,” both of which he has won awards for in the past. This Regis and Kelly Baby Contest 2010 is only yet another way in which he is giving back prizes to the American public.

Regis’s bubbly American sweetheart of a co-host, Kelly Ripa, has also had a lengthy and dynamic career on daytime and prime time television alike. She earned this highly esteemed seat on television next to Regis, having hosted the show now for eight years, receiving seven Daytime Emmy nominations in the meantime. Other television shows she has helped make successful include “Hope and Faith,” and “Ed.” She also runs her own production company, and has appeared in several feature films. Her participation in the Regis and Kelly Baby Contest 2010 is one of the annual events that she claims to enjoy the most as part of the program.

With such formidable hosts, it’s no wonder that the Regis and Kelly Baby Contest 2010 is able to draw in the heavyweights in sponsors, and inspire so many people to enter in photographs of their babies. The competition is fierce, but the glory is well worth it, with such great prizes attached and the chance to meet Regis and Kelly in person. If you are interested in taking part, there are still a few weeks left to enter and be a part of Regis and Kelly history.

In the competitive world of baby modeling, many parents do not think of the pros and cons of the subject and just want their child to be the part of the glamour industry. This is one mistake that many parents make. It is essential for parents to consider the different aspects and then take a step to let their baby be a part of the modeling world. Some common baby modeling mistakes that we, as parents, usually make are:

1. A common mistake that parent usually make is always being over-confident about their child. Do not forget that some agency calls can have about hundred babies for an audition for a single role.

2. Never criticize someone else’s baby just for the fact that they have landed a role over your own baby. Always remember, the most important thing is to have fun! Never let your little one(s) and yourself be stressed with results.

3. Another mistake that parents usually make is they get too aggressive and start taking things personally.

4. Parents should not forget the fact that modeling is not meant for all babies. So learn to consider if your child is really capable for the field or not.

5. Use your agent to your complete advantage. Do not blame them if your baby doesn’t become the next Baby Model. Realize it’s a bit of a gamble and not everyone hits the big time.

6. Parents, at times, behave totally impractical and also want their fussy babies to be a model or a star. It is not practical for any agent to work with a baby who is not easy to work with.

7. Parents must consider the talent of the baby. Also, If the baby is not interested, he/she cannot be forced to be a baby model just because as a parent, you what your child to be a baby model.

8. Understand your baby’s personality, disposition and behavior. Babies can not be held responsible for controlling their developing personalities. Yet, if your baby seems to love attention, feels happy, and smiles often, your child might be well-suited for baby modeling.

9. Temperament is a big factor in baby modeling. Many baby models don’t continue on to be child actors either. Beyond being cute, there has to be a certain level of talent as well for casting agents to continue to show interest in your child once they’re out of their diapers.

Remember, to be a part of baby modeling world, talent, patience and hard work are the most important requirements. Also, make sure not to let your kid be in any kind of stress. Your little one can do his/her best only when they are happy & having fun. Good Luck!

There are different reasons to consider getting your baby into modeling:
• It’s a great experience along with fun.
• It helps to start your child’s school or college fund or any another special savings. It creates beautiful memories and moments that you will cherish forever.
• If your little one loves the camera and lights, Baby modeling can give him a head start in the talent industry.

Famous baby models have a special place in the hearts of the audience. Famous and known artists have used baby models for their countless works over the centuries.
Famous baby models, with their hard work have achieved success in a short span of time. Baby modeling has become a distinct and special activity because of the explosion of commercial media over the past several decades.
Many young actors started their career as child models. Actors such as Katherine Heigl, Lindsay Lohan, and Brooke Shields are a few of the Famous baby models.
A Young Baby Model described the life of Lisanne Falk in the book called Lisanne. This book talks about the Famous Baby models who started their career as babies and have achieved a space in the modeling world. Lisanne Falk, like Brooke Shields, moved from modeling to movies as she became older.
Falk, like Shields, was a relatively successful child model who used to pose for magazine covers, notably Seventeen, for editorial fashion layouts, and for advertising in magazines and mail-order catalogs. Both models appeared in the 1977 Sears and Montgomery Ward catalogs.
More recent news says that an Australian child model Morgan Featherstone has achieved a huge world-wide success but she has also attracted a lot of criticism due to her looking older than her real age.

The huge success of famous baby models who then become famous celebrities has led number of children and their parents to consider modeling as a part-time career. In reality, most modeling jobs go to children who have already worked as models and have developed a good and healthy working relationship with a modeling agency. For strugglers, the challenge is to land the first job. This usually happens through referrals by people already involved in modeling. It’s also possible to land jobs by contacting modeling agencies directly. Occasionally, a child may be “discovered” in a public place or through other grassroots means, such as:
Entering photo contests
Competing in local and national beauty contests
Working with local retailers for small-scale modeling
Entering shopping mall fashion shows.
