Hershey’s Colors of Spring Coloring Contest

Looking for kids ages 4-12 to show off their coloring skills to have the chance to win a Grand Prize of $1,000 from a favorite brand, Hershey’s! One (1) First Prize, one (1) Second Prize and one (1) Third Prize in each age bracket will be awarded. First prize is a U.S. Savings Bond in the amount of $1000. Reality show, “MY KID’S A SUPERSTAR” is seeking parents all across America who truly believe their child is a superstar whether it is in acting, music or live performance. Child must be between 4-17 years old. The Shoot/Start Date is June 2009 and the Pay Rate is $2,500-$5,000 per episode.

Project Info: This docu-soap series will follow the paths of parents who truly believe their child is a super star. The program will show the sacrifices and dedication that families go through to ensure their child reaches their true potential. They will also show the interaction with agents and the audition process in getting children work.

Wanted – Extraordinary Kids: Build-a-Bear Workshop® Launches Search For The 2009 Huggable Heroes®

You’ve probably encountered a young leader in your community – maybe he volunteers his time at a local nursing home or maybe she works tirelessly to raise money to protect the environment or help children with special needs. Build-A-Bear Workshop calls these extraordinary young people Huggable Heroes and is announcing its search for the ‘09 Huggable Heroes class.

Each year, for the last five years, thousands of people have helped identify the best young leaders in the United States and Canada by nominating them to be a Build-A-Bear Workshop Huggable Hero. The search is on for kids ages 7 to 18 who are dedicated to making the world
a better place
.

People can nominate a young person they

Build-A-Bear Workshop store. The deadline for entries is Feb. 27, 2009. Huggable Heroes each receive a $7,500 educational scholarship and a $2,500 donation to a charity of their choice.

Museum Seeks Child Spokesperson for
Ad Campaign

A St. Louis, MO museum is offering local kids the chance to see themselves on a billboard, appear in an advertisement or even record a radio commercial for an ad campaign.

From now until March 15, St. Louis Children’s Museum is holding the “Recommended By Me” contest in search of kid spokespersons to tell their community why they recommend The Magic House.
The lucky winner will be featured on a billboard displayed in the Carbondale area, appear in a print ad in their local newspaper, participate in a radio commercial and win a two-year family membership to The Magic House.

In addition to the winner from the Carbondale area, 12 additional kid spokespersons will be selected from the following cities: St. Louis; Rolla, Mo.; Columbia, Mo.; Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Washington, Mo.; Crystal City, Mo.; Wentzville; Mo.; and Mount Vernon. Each of these winning kids will be featured on a billboard to be displayed in their city, appear in their local newspaper and record a commercial to run on their local radio station.

To be eligible to enter, kids must be between the ages of 7 & 12, be available for a photo shoot on Fri., April 10, agree for their photo to be used in various publications and be available for TV, radio and print publication interviews in their city.

Shabby Apple is Looking for the Next Baby Girl Model

If you have a picture perfect little princess that you think the world should know about, enter the nationwide Shabby Baby model search! Models must be between the ages of 0-8 years old and must be a girl. The winner will receive an entire Shabby Baby spring wardrobe & will be used in Shabby Baby's summer ‘09 photo shoot. She will also be featured on the Shabby Apple website & promotional materials.

To register, take 3 pictures of your daughter & post them on your blog. Write a small paragraph explaining why your daughter is the "Picture Perfect Princess." NBC's “America’s Got Talent” Casting Call for all Ages

Calling all dancers, singers, twirlers, contortionists, comedians, jugglers, magicians and everything in between. Producers for NBC's "America's Got Talent" are making the rounds in search of America's most talented people.

For Season 4, which is scheduled to begin in summer, open casting calls will be held in more than 9 major cities. Dates for four auditions have already been set:

Jan. 29-31 in Los Angeles,
Feb. 7-8 in Atlanta,
Feb. 13-14 in Washington D.C. and
March 1-2 in Chicago.

Dates for tryouts in Boston, New York City, Miami, Seattle and Austin, Texas will announced in the near future.

5 Child Ambassadors will win a trip to New York City to meet Gyllenhaal and help spread joy to kids in need during the holiday season.

Maggie Gyllenhaal is teaming up with Duracell to direct a national casting call to find Duracell Holiday Ambassadors who will help "Power A Smile" this holiday season.  The winning ambassadors will work alongside Gyllenhaal, best known for her performance in the blockbuster film "The Dark Knight," in the Duracell "Power A Smile" campaign to spread smiles and cheer to children in hospitals throughout the country and in their own communities.

Children between the ages of 6 and 15 are invited to participate. The online search will take place at www.PowerASmile.com now through Nov. 3, 2008, at 8 a.m. EST.  To enter, parents can upload a photo of their child exhibiting that moment of excitement upon opening or powering up a gift for the first time.  Winning entries will be judged for creativity and originality based on a short story submission about the best gift their child ever received and why it made them smile.

The winners will receive a trip to New York City to meet Gyllenhaal in early December, a $500 shopping spree, Duracell batteries to power all of their holiday toys and the chance to power smiles for less fortunate children this holiday season.  As a Holiday Ambassador, they will return to their community with donated toys and Duracell batteries to deliver to local children's hospitals in time for the holidays.

The judging panel will include representatives from Duracell as well as from local and national children's hospitals.  Winners will be selected on or about
Nov. 13, 2008.
