The annual search for the next Parenting magazine cover model has arrived. Last year, 3 finalists were official CuteKids. Let’s get our cuties entered and be sure a CuteKid™ wins in 2010!
The 2010 winner will appear on the cover of Parenting Early Years, and LIVE has partnered with Gerber® to provide the winner with $125,000 to be used towards their college education. 5 finalists will travel to New York for a professional photo shoot with Parenting during Beautiful Baby Week in March, 2010.

Be A Dental Inventor! Dr. Fresh® Sponsors Fourth Annual Toothbrush Design Contest In Honor Of February’s National Children’s Dental Health Month
Imagine a toothbrush so much fun to use that kids would brush their teeth without a single reminder from Mom or Dad. Dr. Fresh is asking 2nd through 5th graders across the U.S. to dream up just such a toothbrush with “Be A Dental Inventor” – the 4th annual toothbrush design contest celebrating National Children’s Dental Health Month this February 2010.
Dr. Fresh, the Buena Park, California-based company known for its bright and sparkly FireFly™ toothbrushes that light up and flash to encourage thorough brushing, is challenging kids to come up with the ultimate kid-friendly toothbrush, one that is not only easy, but fun to use. Kids in 2nd through 5th grades are being asked to submit a drawing of their fantasy toothbrush and briefly explain why they think it will appeal to other kids.
The 1st prize winner and a parent or guardian will win a trip to Buena Park, CA, where they will visit the Dr. Fresh headquarters, as well as enjoy a day at the nearby Disneyland Resort. The winner will also receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond, while two runners up will each receive $250 U.S. Savings bonds. Each contest entrant will also receive a complimentary Dr. Fresh FireFly toothbrush.
“Kids have the brightest ideas when it comes to motivating other kids to brush their teeth,” says Dr. Fresh. “Their toothbrush ideas get more creative all the time, and our team really looks forward to reviewing them each year.”
To enter, children should submit an original drawing of their toothbrush design, accompanied by a brief written description (100 words or less) on why they think kids would like to use this toothbrush. She's looking for Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts for an Americana/Norman Rockwell-themed photo shoot. She is seeking Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies & Girl Scouts age 5-10 to be photographed in their scout uniforms for an artistic project. She is looking for all ethnicities, all looks. Children will be photographed separately and in groups.
The photo shoot will take place in late November/early December in a professional NYC studio, with professional hair & makeup & great prop styling. There is no pay for this shoot, but you will receive a copy of your photos.
